As we talk to more people round the country, we find many who are really interested in changing the way they work with their horses. They may or may not have heard of Natural Horsemanship, or Pat Parelli, or Silversand, or Philip Nye, or anyone else associated with the movement, but they know they want more. The problem in South Africa is that there is not much help here for people who want to practice Natural Horsemanship. There are just not many instructors here.
We are very aware that the resources for people wanting to do Natural Horsemanship are thin on the ground. So we want to try to help.
We know that people, a lot of the time, just need someone to talk to. They may be following a programme, such as the Parelli system, or the Silversand one, but sometimes, you just want to phone someone, or email them, to say: "what am I doing wrong?" "why doesn't this work?"
But who to ask?
This is why we have set up the Comfort Zone. Basically, although we don't like to call it that, it's a club. You pay an annual fee of R1000 in advance. Please note - these rates apply to South African Residents only. Please enquire for rates outside South Africa. Monthly fee payment is only available to residents of South Africa.
What you get is unlimited email support, priority booking and discounts on clinics and courses and discounts on the products we sell. You also get access to video lessons (there is a charge for these) and to the video library we are setting up (although any postage costs are for your account).
What we commit to is to provide that support; to, wherever possible, organise study groups and clinics for Comfort Zone members in their area; to bring international instructors, lecturers and experts over to South Africa regularly to keep us all in touch with the cutting edge of horsemanship; to research and source equipment and study aids to help you with your Natural Horsemanship; to encourage more people to aspire to instruct in Natural Horsemanship so that more resource becomes available and, generally, to do everything we can to ecourage Natural Horsemanship in South Africa. That is our Mission Statement, if you like.
