ProHorse Germany - www.prohorse.org

Run by husband and wife team Jan Henn and Veronika Bühn, HZA has proudly joined with them to bring regular horsemanship and Classical training clinics to South Africa.  The following information is taken from their website:

Veronika and Jan help you and your horse learn together in co-operation.  Their experiences with horses go back to the days of their childhood. They teach you from where you and your horse are now, taking things in the right order - starting from groundwork and working right through to classical dressage.

We strictly disapprove of Sidereins, Rollkur and any cruelty whatsoever toward the horse!

"What we need is a willingness to work on our own personalities in order to create a soft feel for the horse.  Any kind of training method restricts us, because there is no combination of horse and rider, that is the same.  A soft feel, developed out of a behaviour based understanding for the horse, instead of schematic training techniques, is the goal of our teaching."

Please see information on the Events page for visits by Veronika and Jan and you can find more about them under those events or here on their ProHorse page.  For additional information and photographs, please go to www.prohorse.org, the link can also be found on our Links page.

Jan Henn - ProHorse Germany: wwwprohorse.org

Jan Henn is the husband of Veronika Bühn who is running the Classical Dressage Clinics throughout RSA and who is currently studying under Philippe Karl. He trains and works with horses in Germany and is now regularly visiting RSA.  He particularly enjoys working with stallions and young horses and is happy to take on work with difficult or more challenging horses.  He has also been helping students prepare for Vroni's regular South African clinics and is happy to give private lessons during his visits.

Jan has been working recently at Larane Trakehner Stud, in Bulwer, Natal (include link here when provided) a breed close to his heart and with which he is familiar, having several at home in Germany including his and Veronika's Oldenburger stallions.  He would also be more than happy to work in Namibia, so any of our Namibian readers, do feel free to contact us about booking Jan for a visit.

Day Fees/Lesson Fees/Clinics: Quotations available

Jan is available on a daily basis and fees can then be shared across a number of lessons or with others.  Students, studs, riding facilities etc are welcome to contact us to book Jan for half days, days or longer periods.  Please do contact us for a quotation as fees may vary depending on flight availability, accommodation costs and so on, but we do our best to make it as affordable and reasonable as possible.  So far we have been able to organise visits to RSA for anywhere between 5 and 10 days at a time.  Jan is not limited as to where he will travel and sometimes we are able to schedule work in more than one Province per visit.
